What our clients say about us

We hired Grant for a series of Experience Videos for multi locations. Grant was knowledgeably and incredibly giving of his experience to help us pull these together from a creative and script angle. He worked to our time frame and hours. Looking at his past work, i had no hesitation around Grant's quality and body of work, but we were absolutely stunned at the final product. They came out 10 times better than we ever hoped or expected. Grant is also a dream to work with!

Toyota North Shore

Being in business for 20 years we have experienced many creative companies to work with us to build and enhance our business. Grant and Daryl reminded me why I started the business 20 years ago with my business partner, they both come packed with so much passion, enthusiasm and a level of professionalism that is rare. To this incredible team, we salute you on your journey to becoming a huge success and thank you for a brilliant job - Michelle Hall-Jones & Philippa Logan. All the best for the future and we will keep in contact. Take care Mich & Pippa

Grant I just wanted to say again how much I loved the video’s today. You have such a wonderful feel for the work that we do…..and know how to tell a story visually that really shares the heart of our work. I'm glad Duncan took my advice after seeing the videos you produced for us. Nice to see you again too. All the best Robyn.

We couldn't recommend CAW Video more highly. We have worked with Grant on three projects and for everyone, he was easy to work with, provided superior creative guidance and the resulting videos performed beyond our initial expectations.

Tomahawk Tourism Marketing

Having worked in advertising and marketing most of my career, I can wholeheartedly recommend Grant as one of the best videographer's I've worked with. He is a quality act and a dream to work with. Adaptable, calm, proactive and professional with a great eye. Goes the extra mile to ensure the client is happy with the end result and I would use him again in a heartbeat. Highly recommended.

Aucky Walky Tours

I never thought video would be such a successful marketing tool. In a matter of minutes my potential clients know the full scope of our business, who we are and what we offer. Thank you for the great work you produced on our videos, I would definitely recommend your services - Bjorn Kahler

As a Non-profit organisation we did not have the skills or even the know how to put together a promotional video for our Generation@ programme. They made the process so easy for us often having to work around very challenging schedules. They are the most talented, creative and very qualified individuals we have worked with and I would enthusiastically recommend them to any company or individual - Liza Dickson

I have no hesitation in recommending Grant and CAW. Our shoot involved 6 excited kids and Grant was able to direct them in a calm yet assertive manner. He is very easy to work with and the quality of the final product is second to none. I look forward to working with Grant again on future video projects!

Therm - Stacey Thompson

All we wanted was a basic video showing off how one of our cutting tools machined. They way exceeded our expectations with their professionalism, prompt response, precise planning of everything and also, a very competitive price - Belinda Surian

I have just shown the latest video to Jess and Mark who are contracted to help us with our marketing campaigns. They both know Thandanani well and both were close to tears in watching the clip. I was over the moon with their reaction so clearly, the emotive pull we wanted is there!! So thank you again for a job well done not only on the latest video but our whole social media video campaign. You guys nailed it! - Duncan Andrew

Thandanani Childrens Foundation

I hired Grant at CAW Video to help me produce, direct and shoot a series of corporate videos for a leading New Zealand bank and the project was a huge success largely due to Grant's professional and humble attitude to the collaboration. Further he has a great eye for shots and sequences that work well in edit and his audio is impeccable. Technically he knows his gear well and is highly adaptable, without cutting corners.

Producing a project on a different continent without any local knowledge means you have to rely heavily on your local producer. Choosing Grant to fill this role was the best decision I made on this job.

Electric Storm - Andy Wonnacott

First off, I would like to thank Grant for the outstanding job he did on creating our corporate overview video. When we first approached Grant, we did not really know what we wanted but he took the bull by the horns and ran with it. He explained how different types of videos can be used for different types of marketing and even guided us on how best to use this video to generate views. Overall, I was extremely happy with his response time, positive friendly attitude and the quality of work he produced for Commercial Projects. Thank you CAW

Our video production process

Touch Base

First, we need to get a feel for you and your company. The best way is to meet up over a cup of coffee, but Skype will do if you’re far away. Our objective at this point is to get some clarity on what you’re aiming for and how we can help you get there.

Pre – Production

We gather all your previous marketing material and check out your online profile. We then send our developed script back and forth until we have a final draft. Finally, we add visual references to the script and schedule shooting where required.

Production & Post

Here’s where you let go of the reigns and let our creative team take over. We film, animate and create. Then we add the voice over, sound effects and music. A first draft is sent to you for review and then changes are made if necessary.

We are only happy once you’re happy! As soon as we get the green light we will send you the final product in 4k or HD via Dropbox, Wetransfer or Wipster. Alternatively, if you requested another format, we will deliver to your specs.

Effective video production

Corporate Video

As a video production company we often have clients asking us to produce a corporate video. What clients don't realise is that there are many different types of videos that are similar to a corporate video but vary slightly and each type of video has a purpose or place.

A corporate video is a long format video that explains in detail who you are and what you do. Corporate videos are generally around the 4 to 5 minute mark and included things like your companies history, your values and the service or products you offer. A corporate video is generally used to showcase your business as a whole and give your clients a thorough understanding of who you are as a brand.

Company overview video

A company overview video is what it says it is. It's quick 1 minute video that gives the viewer a basic understanding of your business in a nut shell.

The reason for this video is to entice your potential client to dig deeper and find out more about your business. For some people, this may be enough too persuade them to do business with you but for others, they will want more information. This is then when your corporate video comes into play and gives the viewer all the information they require.

They are also great to use on LinkedIn or social media platforms to create awareness around your brand.

Brand video

Brand video

A brand video is a great way to get creative and tell your businesses story. A brand video generally is around 1 to 1 and a half minutes long.

What is a brand - More than simply a name, term, design, or symbol, a brand is the recognizable feeling a product or business evokes. Simply put, brands are perceptions.

You capture your audiences attention with a well crafted story about your brand by creating an emotional connection to your brand. We create your brand video around your story and the perception you would like your audience to be left feeling.

A case study video helps to outline a company's success or effectiveness, in dealing with its clients. This is an engaging and captivating way to promote your services. Case study videos add authenticity to your communication and provide clients with stories that prove your company's credibility and results.

Product video

A product video effectively demonstrates the benefits of a product. While many product videos focus on the features of the product, a good idea is also to highlight how the product relieves the pain points clients may encounter.

Product videos create and engaging story that demonstrates how that product functions in the real world, and what kind of impact it has. A product video can create a better lasting impression in the consumer’s mind, leaving the product features to be experienced rather than explained.

Having said that, this is not the only way to showcase your product. Often food & beverage brands like to spice things up and create beautiful video content that catches the eye and shows it off in a creative way. These types of product videos are typically used on social media platforms.

A testimonial video is a great way to let your customers do the talking for you. Putting your most successful, happy, or unique customers on screen is a powerful way to attach a real-life narrative to your product or service.

In most cases, they talk about how that company's product or service has helped them solve a problem.

Why video production is imperative to your marketing budget

Social Media Advertising

The world has changed and gone are the days of television broadcast advertising. Your customers are watching and sharing social media video content daily and users are hungry for more and more video content. Any brand that’s not creating video and promoting it on social media, is missing out on huge opportunities. The good news is, corporate video production is more affordable than ever before.

Staying Ahead Of Your Competitors

Your competitors are already leveraging social video content and a 2020 survey by the Web Marketing Video Council proves that. They found that 85 percent of businesses are using video as a marketing tool rather than print media. In the previous year, 55 percent of those businesses were not using video at all. It’s clear that corporate video production is important for growing your brand.

Watch Or Read

People prefer not to read content anymore. Imagine you purchased a new camera and would like to know how to film a time-lapse. Would you read the 1000 word write up or watch a 1 minute video tutorial? Video is a far better way to draw attention to or explain your brand. It shows off your brand, it’s easier to understand and has the ability to be shared amongst different social platforms.

Video Algorithms Are Favoured

Video is unique in its ability to connect with viewers on an emotional level and is the preferred form of media nowadays. Social networks favour video in their algorithms, knowing that this rich content is favoured by users. Thus, not only helping with SEO scores and algorithms, but video gives your business an easy way to showcase its products and services in a precise way which is favoured by social networks.

Social Or Viral Video

Many people confuse social video with viral video, but there’s a key difference. Social media videos may not get millions of views but can still be a success. If your company sells office furniture, a video that shows customers how to pair your products to create a beautiful office space, might be a success with only 600 views (if those views come from your target market). Yes, it’s about shareability, but shareability among your target market is key.

Millennials are spending less time watching broadcast television channels and more time watching video on their mobile devices, laptops or their smart TV. Why would you want to be locked into a television channel structure when you can choose what you want to watch and when? By 2030, millennials will comprise 75 percent of the global workforce, making it hard to ignore video platforms that resonate so well with this key audience.

Return On Investment

Social media videos can deliver impressive ROI. This is probably the biggest pressure point for your business, so here are some figures:
72 percent of businesses who use video say it has increased website conversion rates. 74 percent of all internet traffic in 2017 is projected to come from video. More than half of YouTube views come from mobile devices. Facebook has 8 billion average daily video views from 500 million users. Facebook sees 100 million hours of daily video viewing.

ROI Tracking

Your return on investment for social video depends on how you choose to use it. Every business will have differing targets and goals. If you want to use video to promote your new product or volume of sales, then traffic to your website might be the metric you track. If it’s going to be used for lead generation, the metric might be newsletter signups.
The key thing is that you actually set goals and track the success of your videos using analytics. It’s only through tracking that you will learn what works with your audience and what doesn’t, allowing you to refine your social video strategy.

Endless Possibilities

Whether you run a small business or work for a large organisation, there are many different ways to fit social media videos into your marketing strategy.
Social media videos can deliver on a number of marketing objectives. The most obvious are building brand awareness or telling your brand’s story. GoPro and Redbull are renowned for creating amazing videos that serve the simple purpose of being sharable and getting their brand name out there, and they have done this very well This could be possible for your business with the right campaign!
