Towards the end of 2022, we were approached by Can-am to produce a Brand Story in New Zealand that would form part of a wider global video series called Livin' the Land. This is the first ever NZ episode and the concept is based on the everyday New Zealand farmer and their Can-am, and has clocked over 613,000 views on Youtube.
The goal was to tell the story in a beautiful and cinematic way and position Can-am as the vehicle of choice for this farming operation. In essence, it’s a cinematic, storytelling narrative, that has the feel of a documentary. We featured The Absolom family who own and run Rissington Cattle Company. The story surrounds the succession of a New Zealand family owned farming operation, spanning 140 years. A story of constant evolution and innovation that has set this successful bull breeding business apart from the rest. We showcased three brothers who leverage technology to advance their business. But paramount, is the Can-am that allows this operation to be as nimble and successful as it is. Day-to-day farming activities on the Rissington land is made possible by the use of the can-am. However we featured the can-am not as the hero of the story, but more of the enabler that allows this farm to be so efficient.
We partnered with the awesome brand team at Can-am, who had previously produced season 1 and 2 of this story, Livin' the Land. The concept was already created and the expectation to deliver to a certain standard, and within the brand framework, was made very clear. Challenge accepted! We were involved in detailed pre-production and coordination of this video and photo shoot, right through to sound design and final delivery of the assets. The episode has fetched over 612,000 views on YouTube to date and we are extremely proud of this work. Having the opportunity to partner with such a strong brand, and having the creative freedom to produce this standard of work, is what makes us absolutely love what we do.
