First impressions matter. You have one opportunity to grab the attention of your audience. An audience that has a very short attention span when consuming digital content. If you are a business that is putting out half-baked content that looks shaky and of poor quality. It will be immediately obvious, and you will lose your audience (aka a potential customer!). You may think it will be the more cost-effective route, but in the long run, it can be twice as time-consuming and do more harm than good.

Now, we are not saying that mobile content creation doesn’t have a place. I mean, a whole app has been created solely for the purpose of content that is shot on your phone. More and more businesses are jumping on board the trend and are starting to advertise on Tiktok. This has led to the rise in businesses believing they too, can too film content on their phones. But you know the old saying – just because you can, it doesn’t mean you should.

And if we had a dollar for every time a client came to us with footage they captured on their phones and asked us to turn it into a masterpiece edit. We would probably own a very nice house in Queenstown somewhere…
